However, the increase of the medium pressure will also deform the flange and the connecting bolt, resulting in the relative separation between the sealing surfaces and the relative decrease in the gasket sealing ratio. Therefore, the ring gasket can be considered as a semi-self-tightening seal. The octagonal metal ring gasket is mainly in surface contact with the flange groove. Compared with the oval ring gasket, although it is not easy to achieve close contact with the flange groove, it can be used again and is easy to process because the cross section is composed of straight lines. At the same time, the hardness of the octagonal metal ring gasket should be 15~20HB lower than the flange surface.

Nitrile-butadiene rubber is a synthetic rubber suitable for good corrosion resistance to oils, solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, basic hydrocarbons, oil and natural gas over a wide temperature range. Good corrosion resistance to hydroxides, salts and near neutral acids. However, in strong oxidizing media, chlorinated hydrocarbons, ketones and lipids, its corrosion resistance is poor, and the recommended working temperature is 51℃~121℃.

Fluoroelastomer has a high degree of chemical stability and is one of the medium-resistant properties of all elastomers at present. Type 26 fluororubber is resistant to petroleum-based oils, diester oils, silicone ether oils, silicic acid oils, inorganic acids, most organic and inorganic solvents, pharmaceuticals, etc., only low molecular weight ketones, ethers, Ester, not resistant to amine, ammonia, hydrofluoric acid phosphoric acid hydraulic oil. The dielectric properties of type 23 fluorine rubber are similar to those of type 26, and it is more unique. Its resistance to strong oxidizing inorganic acids such as fuming nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid is better than that of type 26. It is immersed in 98% HNO3 at room temperature. Its volume expansion is only 13% to 15%.
