Product Material
The commonly used materials for split skeleton oil seals are: nitrile rubber, fluorine rubber, etc.
➢ Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) It has good heat resistance and wear resistance, and is resistant to various lubricating oils, greases, oil and gas mixtures, etc. The applicable temperature is -30~120 degrees Celsius, but it cannot be used for phosphate ester hydraulic oil. It is used in gear oils with medium and extreme pressure additives, and has stable performance in gasoline and low aniline point mineral oil.
➢ Fluorine rubber (FPM) Aging resistance, heat resistance, oil resistance, suitable for almost all lubricating oil, fuel oil, gasoline, not easy to harden in oil containing extreme pressure additives, but poor cold resistance and high temperature wear resistance , The permanent compression deformation is large, and it is suitable for the temperature of -20~250 degrees Celsius.

The principle of sealing
Due to the presence of an oil film controlled by the oil seal edge between the oil seal and the shaft, the oil film has fluid lubricating properties. Under the action of the surface tension of the liquid, the rigidity of the oil film just makes the oil film and the air contact end form a new surface, preventing the leakage of the working medium, thereby realizing the sealing of the rotating shaft. The sealing ability of the oil seal depends on the thickness of the oil film on the sealing surface. If the thickness is too large, the oil seal will leak; if the thickness is too small, dry friction may occur, causing the oil seal and shaft to wear; if there is no oil film between the sealing lip and the shaft, it is easy to cause heat generation , wear. Therefore, during installation, it must be ensured that the Bailuhan split skeleton oil seal is perpendicular to the axis line. If it is not perpendicular, the sealing lip of the oil seal will drain the lubricating oil from the shaft, which will also lead to excessive wear of the sealing lip .
